Your Baseball Season Guide to Pre- and Post-Game Eats and Drinks in Arlington
By Lauren Drewes Daniels
Holy Ravioli! Sounds like something Batman would say, but take it literally this time. This new pasta shop is set up like a Baskin-Robbins store, only the freezer containers are filled with ravioli instead of ice cream. There aren't 31 flavors, but you can choose pasta pockets filled with black beans, sun-dried tomatoes, goat cheese, vegetables, or veal--as well as concoctions called "quesadilla" and "cheeseburger" and a variety of other flavors. Ravioli runs from $6 to $8 a pound, unfilled pasta is only $3.50 to $4.50 a pound, and it's all made right there in the back of the shop. So are the sauces--chipotle cream (good on the Mexican-inspired pastas), spicy arrabiatta, fresh tomato-basil, and Alfredo, to name just a few. Grab a bag of field greens, a loaf of Empire Bakery bread, and some Dallas made cheese, and you've got a gourmet-quality dinner in a McDonald's minute.
