Kazy's may be called a "food mart," but it's really a center of local Japanese culture, with a supply of magazines, videos, Japanese-style chopsticks, and toys, all for much less than they cost in Tokyo. Kazy's has been Dallas' premier Japanese grocery store for years, supplying culinary essentials like nori, sushi-fresh fish, rice, daikon and its sprouts, wasabi, soba, miso, and all the kitchen equipment for chefs turning Japanese (as well as ready-made sushi and other snacks for those who prefer the results to the process). If you're just breaking in your rice paddles, you can also get advice on cooking techniques here--advice is free.
