Whether you enjoy water-skiing at Lake Lewisville, bass fishing at Joe Pool Lake or skinny-dipping in your local watering hole, the Dallas Summer Boat Show has something for you. Even if you can barely afford the mortgage on your house, it's still fun to check out the cavernous giant houseboats that get more outrageous every year. If you're not quite yacht shopping yet, then the show also features the latest in ski and fishing boats, jet skis and skidoos as well as water skis, wakeboards and rafts. Sportsmen aiming to land their "big one" can check out the array of new fishing rods and reels. There's also a stocked tank for the young ones who can't wait to get to the lake to try out their new toys. It takes place 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at Dallas Market Hall, 2200 N. Stemmons Freeway. Admission is $7, $3 for children under 13 and free for children 3 and under. Call 469-549-0673 or visit www.dallasboatshow.net. --Jay Webb
