Unloco's Joey Duenas wanted to be a star. Now he just wants you to listen.
Despite his healthy desire to break big, Duenas says Unloco has been happy to spend much of 2003 as an opening act. Though the band is now headlining its own club tour, it's spent most of this year supporting Kittie and Papa Roach, as well as being the low men on a totem pole that included Disturbed, Taproot and Chevelle.
"When you're the opening act, you have to push yourself beyond the limit, because you're gonna be under a microscope," Duenas offers. "And we're ready for it."
"Who you trying to get crazy with, esse? Don't you know we're Unloco?" Unfortunately for Joey Duenas, front, not enough people do. Yet.
