Go. Now. You have two more weeks before stepping outside of an air-conditioned building becomes a risky proposition. So, grab the picnic basket, a cooler full of ice and bottled water and some sandwiches (minus the mayonnaise) and go see the Dallas Symphony Orchestra perform family-friendly classical music at Crawford Park, 8700 Elam Road. (The rain site is Fireside Recreation Center.) Part of the 2004 Community Parks Concert Series, which began with Easter in Lee Park and continues through June, this concert features "The Star-Spangled Banner"; selections from Copland's Rodeo; Williams' score for ET: Adventures on Earth and Webber's Phantom of the Opera; plus works by Mozart, Verdi, Strauss, Saints-Saens, Rachmaninoff and Tchaikovsky. The program starts at 8 p.m., and admission is free. Future concerts will be held at Cedar Valley College, Flagpole Hill and Mountain View College. Call 214-692-0203.
