Either we're prophetic or we watch entirely too much professional wrestling. Yeah, we knew months ago that golden boy-turned-franchise player Randy Orton would win the big gold belt, sparking a bitter, extended feud with eternal bastard Triple H. The WWE pulled the trigger on just these events recently, and when the RAW roster comes to American Airlines Center this Sunday for a non-televised event, we'll see a Texas Death Match between the new rivals. Also featured on the card is a dance-off between leggy Barbie doll Stacy Kiebler and Molly Holly, which will give local steakheads a chance to demean Molly for being built like an actual female, and an appearance by savant sensation Eugene. Fun for all. The highlight? A match between the best there is, Chris Benoit, and the best there ever will be, "Nature Boy" Ric Flair. We'd be there, but our powerful soothsaying abilities have predetermined the results. Actually, come to think of it, we doneed to get out more. If you are a regular reader of the Dallas Observer's music section, you have heard the tragic story of David Cunniff, who was badly beaten and possibly paralyzed after a fight at, of all things, an Old 97's concert in July. Well, it has not taken long for the community to respond, first in shock and then with benevolence. The quickly organized Run Down Violence 5K will help raise money for the 44-year-old father of two and also send the message that incidents of senseless violence like this will not be tolerated in our community. Even if you don't cross the finish line first, you will still be a winner by standing up for your right to safely attend a concert while helping a neighbor in need. It happens Thursday at 7 p.m. at Lakewood United Methodist Church, 2443 Abrams Road. Entry is $20 or $5 for children under 12. Call 214-824-3044. --Jay Webb

You've seen the TV show--or at least you have if you've ever tuned into The History Channel, A&E or Discovery. It's World War II, the made-for-basic cable event of the last century. Now you can see some of the props used in its filming. The DFW Wing of the Commemorative Air Force (it used to be the Confederate Air Force) is hosting an open cockpit day at the Lancaster Airport, at Belt Line and Ferris roads, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. A variety of World War II vintage aircraft will be on display along with other military memorabilia, jeeps and classic cars. Tickets are $5, and children under 12 are admitted free.
