This private Tweedy despises the journalists who adore him, so much so that he wants to tear apart the perfect pop melody he crafted in his early career just to prove the critics' intellectual bankruptcy. In addition to a struggle with drugs and alcohol, Tweedy nursed an apparent addiction to Saved by the Bell and Matt Damon, a surprise to many of his longtime fans.
