We were already blown away that a Manchester native would make his living doing impressions of an American playing a zany Englishman. Then we did some reading up on comedian/Austin Powers impersonator Steve Hirst and found that he is often an opening performer for Kid Reid…that's right, Kid Reid. As in Kid 'N Play. Seriously. Now, aside from our initial response of "Kid is doing something that requires an opening act?" we also wondered how an Austin Powers clone gets a supporting gig for House Party's sky-climbing flattop. Who made that call? Ask Hirst yourself when he headlines Hyena's Arlington.
