His nickname is "Picachu," he willingly wears Hawaiian shirts and he refers to himself as "fluffy." Sounds like the punch line of a joke, not a comedian who makes jokes, especially about other people. Despite his questionable taste in clothing and adjectives, comedian Gabriel Iglesias has been in the biz for eight years and has won a few comedy awards, including one at the Kid's Choice Awards. Comedy-wise, his stand-up is storytelling-based with many characters and accompanying sound effects, with a bunch of self-deprecation thrown in. Maybe all that "fluffy" stuff is just a defense mechanism. Iglesias performs at the Addison Improv, 4980 Belt Line Road, from April 13 through April 17 at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, 8:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. Friday, 7 p.m., 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. Saturday and 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $20. Call 972-404-8501.
