Queer Eye for the Straight Guy's first of three Dallas episodes aired last week with a surprise cameo--by Chomsky! "That guy's hot!" exclaimed Carson Kressley as guitarist Glen Reynolds shook it for the camera during a sweat-soaked rendition of "15 Minutes to Rock," performed for the Sigma Chi fraternity at UNT.

DOMA best-song nominees The Chemistry Set host a benefit concert on Saturday, April 8, at the Wreck Room in Fort Worth for their bass player, Cory Helm, recently diagnosed with Hodgkin's disease. The evening's entertainment also includes sets from Collin Herring, Calhoun, The Chemistry Set, I Love Math and Moonshot Radio. Proceeds will go to Helm and the American Cancer Society. Admission is $8.

On Sunday, April 10, Adair's in Deep Ellum hosts the Women's Acoustic Jam to benefit the Autism Society of Collin County. Performers include Kathleen Jackson, Anne Findley and Nancy "Shaggy" Moore, and the concert lasts from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. A compilation CD featuring songs by performers will be sold for $15.

A few dozen readers sent in their submissions for the first-ever And Another Thing caption contest. The competition was fierce. Actually, that's a lie.
