Ever been to a local festival and waded through countless crappy bands to hear a few unknown gems? Wouldn't it be great if someone plucked out some great new acts for a simpler show with no excess hype, booths or coupons? Consider Friday's show at Sons of Hermann Hall a quality-packed minifest of sorts, then, because you won't find a better round-up of local twang-loving acts in one place this whole weekend. Denton's Bosque Brown alone is reason enough to go, with a commanding voice and gorgeous songs that'll make her famous soon enough, but Current Leaves, Doug Burr and Sleepy Atlantis are just as lovely.
