Between the White Stripes and Warren Zevon in my iTunes library are some 56 Wiggles songs. What the kiddo wants, the kiddo gets, and what he usually wants are "Wiggles, Daddy, more Wiggles." He's 2, by the way, which means there are plenty more years left for him to adore the Aussie quartet dressed in leftover Star Trekuniforms. Suits me fine: Better a love for the Wiggles--Greg, Jeff, Murray and Anthony, reformed rockers working the youth circuit--than a purple dinosaur or other dopey merch-makers. Besides, some of the songs are rather tuneful, and God love a band that covers Split Enz and Lou Reed. This weekend at Nokia Theatre in Grand Prairie, near Belt Line Road and Interstate 30, where they perform Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., they're promoting the Sailing Around the World CD and DVD, though they'd best throw in some "Hot Potato" or songs about their big red car. Sadly, Paul McCartney's mediocre showing at the Super Bowl half-time show made him look like a real boob. (Get it? Get it?) And it'll be November before the former Beatle has a chance to prove himself to locals with a sold-out American Airlines Center performance. So what's a Fab Four fan to do in order to regain faith in the cutest Beatle? Go see an impersonator...or four. 1964--The Tribute, which Apple Corps LTD has actually allowed to call itself "The #1 Beatles show in the world," will invade the Bass Performance Hall in Fort Worth, 525 Commerce St., this Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. to the tune of $20 to $35 per seat. There seems to be more and more going on in Addison these days and, if it weren't for the drive, I might be out there every weekend instead of in the downtown and Uptown areas. But now it seems that the city might have something to draw me up north, outside the confines of the Interstate 635 loop. From now until the end of August, every Saturday at Addison's Esplanade Park, 5044 Addison Circle Drive, will be known as Symphonic Saturday. From 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., various Dallas Wind Symphony groups will entertain park visitors while they munch on picnic grub or on take-out from one of the nearby restaurants. The closest thing to this in Dallas would probably be the Dallas Museum of Art's Jazz Under the Stars series, but since that program's season ended the drive to Addison isn't looking so bad. This Saturday's free Symphonic performance will be by the brass quintet. Call 1-800-ADDISON. --Kelsey Guy
