Kids get served fun fractions

Kids don't want to learn a damn thing unless they think they aren't learning. Michelle Pfeiffer understood that when she brought her karate skills and Bob Dylan records to Dangerous Minds—how else did you expect her vatos locos to get all weepy and respectful about poetry? Similarly, the Slice of Math exhibit at Dallas Children's Museum, 13331 Preston Road (in Valley View Center), knows that your kids hate fractions with a burning passion, so the exhibit disguises its math lessons by letting kids play in a pizza parlor. We're unsure whether exhibit sponsor Cici's Pizza teaches math lessons about how their $3.99 buffet costs a crapload more when you add a soda, but kids need lessons like that before going out for pizza with only a fiver.
