Pissburgh

What better way to start your new year than by going to a musical called Urinetown? One of your resolutions was to be bold and try new things! This three-time Tony Award winner is coming to town just in time to clear the Year of the Hurricanes out of our systems. It's not your regular bathroom humor, even with numbers like "I See a River" and "Don't Be the Bunny." It's a tender love story and sharp sociopolitical commentary all rolled into one. With the motto "It’s a privilege to pee!," villain Caldwell B. Cladwell's Urine Good Company has dropped the lid on his city's public potties, charging a penny a pee during a drought. The good townspeople sing, dance and expose their unrestrained opposition. This hilarious musical made a mourning post-September 11 audience flush with excitement on the Great White Way. And as they said then, "You gotta go!" Note: Get the poster. It'll look great on your bathroom wall.
Wednesdays, Thursdays, 7:30 p.m.; Fridays, Saturdays, 8 p.m.; Sundays, 2 p.m.; Sundays, 7:30 p.m. Starts: Jan. 19. Continues through Feb. 12
