Hoofin' It

Vegas is good for three things: slots, sluts and Cirque du Soleil. Many have traveled hundreds of miles to see Latourelle's Cirque shows, but here's a new twist in the shape of a horseshoe. Cavalia—or "horsemen"—is Texas-sized entertainment tailor-made for Dallasites who haven't forgotten their Wild West roots. Forty-seven horses and 36 aerialists and acrobats perform in a 10-story touring big top. Throw in state-of-the-art visual effects, live music and a 210-foot-wide curved screen and you have a spectacle Miss Ellie, JR and Sue Ellen can argue about all the way back to Southfork. Not your average politically incorrect animal act, European "Horse Whisperer" Pignon and wife Delgado pay homage to the history of mutual respect between man and horse. Rendez-Vous packages include a behind-the-scenes tour through the stables. The horseplay debuts Tuesday under the white big top at Galleria North. For information call 1-866-999-8111 or visit cavalia.net.
Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, 8 p.m.; Saturdays, 3 & 8 p.m.; Sun., March 19, 2 p.m.; Sundays, 1 p.m. Starts: March 14. Continues through April 2
