Raise your hand if you've actually seen the last half of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Seriously people. Unless you are in the theater, with an exceptional supporting live cast, the film just doesn't hold up past the dinner party/people turning to stone portion. Don't get me wrong, there are some excellent songs remaining (Tim Curry uttering "Whatever happened to Fay Wray?" is reason alone to keep watching), but there's no reason to go it without a fast-forward button if you're at home on the couch. Thanks to Quad C Theatre, however, "Oh, Rocky!" can be blissfully yelped with a little more energy. The company presents Richard O'Brien's camp favorite (and not just the first half) with an invigorated live cast...and life-size puppets. Take away the silver screen behind the actors and The Rocky Horror Picture Show officially becomes The Rocky Horror (Puppet) Show complete with all the oddities, transvestism and, of course, Brad and Janet. The audience is still encouraged to dress up and shout at the cast, just leave the "tossable" items at home—Dr. Frank-N-Furter may be present, but Quad C is a "no hot dog" zone. Get your "terrible thrills" 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 2:15 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Collin County Community College's John Anthony Theatre, 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway in Plano.
