Oak Cliff's Kessler Park may just be the most beautiful neighborhood in Dallas. Full of rolling hills, giant shade trees and unusual architecture, the area consists mostly of developments built between the '20s and the '60s, as well as the city-run Stevens Park golf course. Named after Dallas city planner and landscape architect George E. Kessler, much of Kessler Park has been designated as a historic district, which means any new homes built are in keeping with the spirit of the neighborhood—and there's not a McMansion in sight. This Sunday, Preservation Dallas offers a walking tour of the Kessler Park district starting at 3 p.m. The tour begins at the Roberts Forest sign near the Kessler Park United Methodist Church, 1215 Turner Ave. Tickets are $10.
