Here Kitty, Kitty

If we didn't need children to give Walt Disney a marketing demographic, thereby employing thousands of people, I could do without the little turds. They smell bad, and they ask way too many questions. But I'm not about to get all King Herod on the collective child ass and call for their mass demise. And I'm certainly not about to stick them in a big pen and tell them to "hunt with the big cats," which is the title of the upcoming Easter egg hunt at In-Sync Exotics big cat animal shelter out in Wylie. That just seems a little unfair. Not only is tigers’ and lions’ sense of smell more finely honed, but they can run faster than the wee tykes, so even if Little Billy spots a big, pink egg at 50 yards, well, Stripes is probably going to get there first. And he'll probably be pissed. Good thing the hunt is just at the big cats' rescue and rehab shelter, not actually in it. The hunt begins 11 a.m. Saturday at In-Sync Exotics, 3430 Skyview Drive in Wylie. Tickets are $7 to $10 and kids under 5 get in free. Call 972-442-6888.
Sat., April 15, 11 a.m.
