Three Times the Pain

Chances are, if you're the sort of person who enjoys enduring pain, fatigue and shin splints to the point of vomiting—that is, you're a triathlete—you already know that the 15th Annual Tom Landry Triathlon begins at 7 a.m. Sunday at the Baylor Tom Landry Fitness Center, 411 N. Washington. You've been training. In fact, you train all the time. Train, train, train—that's you, beefcake. But perhaps you're a casual runner, cyclist or swimmer who figures this sprint triathlon—400-meter pool swim, 15.5-mile bike race through downtown and a 5-kilometer run—is the thing for you. Then call 214-820-7767 or visit baylortomlandryfitnesscenter.com by Friday for info on how to register. Registration is $65 and benefits Our Children's House at Baylor. Seriously, sport, go for it. How hard can it be? Besides, the course begins and ends near a major metropolitan hospital. Not that you'll need it. Just sayin'.
Sun., May 7, 7 a.m.
