Fortune comes to the Lone Star State

Wheel watchers: Prepare your eyes! The Wheel of Fortune Wheelmobile is rolling into town, and it's taking prisoners! Well, contestants. The event, free and open to the public, will allow fans to play a simulated version of WoF, win prizes and qualify for an audition to appear on an upcoming show, including theme shows like Country Music Stars Week(in which a fan is paired with his or her favorite musician) and Best Friends (in which best friends are paired for team play). I suppose for a game basically as challenging as, well, Hangman, it'll be good to have some help. If Joe Contestant can't figure out which vowel to buy, maybe one of the Judds can. The shows are taping locally in August, and Pat Sajak and Vanna White will be on hand to host and spin letters in front of a live audience. And they couldn't be more thrilled. "We _re so excited to bring our show to the D_ll_s-Fort Worth _re_, one of my f_vorite pl_ces to visit," White said.

The Wheelmobile arrives at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Fort Worth Convention Center and 3 p.m. Sunday at the Automobile Building in Fair Park. Admission is free. Visit cbs11tv.com for audition or audience taping information.
Sun., May 21, 3 p.m.
