Mavs fans shouldn't worry: The Diesel Fighting Championship doesn't have anything to do with Shaquille O'Neal. Fans of the Ultimate Fighter series on Spike TV can go ahead and worry, though; it remains to be seen whether the local cage-fighting event has anything to do with the high-level martial arts of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, either. Still, the Diesel Fighting Championship is a rare chance to see cage-fighting in person—and it might help toughen up the image of football kickers, since Dallas Desperados kicker Carlos Martinez is the event organizer. The Diesel Fighting Championship comes to American Airlines Center Friday at 7p.m. Tickets are $30 to $150. Call 214-373-8000 or visit ticketmaster.com.
