While I dare not deny its fab quotient, I have serious doubts about the new W Hotel. There's something about that indention (aka half a missing floor) that terrifies me. Someone assure me, and assure me quick, that it's not just gonna fall down and go boom. I had mixed feelings upon receiving my slick invitation to the Ghostbar opening: Will I star in the unintentional remake of The Towering Inferno? Will the paparazzi catch my fear of heights in photo form for PaperCity? I'll brave the waters on this one, but if anyone's looking for me, I'll be the one with the parachute backpack on. Celebrity performances will include DJ Five, Dre, Willie Trimmer and others (Friday beginning at 10 p.m.), Tommy Lee (Saturday) and others throughout the weekend. The grand opening runs through July 4. Ghostbar is located on the 33rd floor of the W Hotel at 2440 Victory Park Lane.
