Painted Petals

Warren's realistic works really bloom

Flowers: beautiful, delicate embodiments of youth. Some gardeners even consider fragile blooms to be their children. Such flowers are the subject of watercolor artist Soon Y Warren. Now, let's not get her confused with Soon-Yi Previn, Woody Allen's wife who, oddly, at the start of their romance, was also a beautiful, delicate embodiment of youth...and was certainly considered one of his children. But whatever. We're talkin' art here. Warren, the nationally recognized artist and author of Vibrant Flowers in Watercolor, exhibits her works beginning with a reception from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and continuing through August 10 at Artists' Showplace Gallery, 15615 Coit Road at Arapaho Road.
