Of Good or Evil?

In Mozart's opera The Magic Flute, evil is warded off by a prince with said magic flute. Hmm, that's interesting. Momma always said that "magic flutes" brought nothing but evil and the boys attached to them were far from princes. Guess we'll see who's right when the University of North Texas Opera Theatre presents the classic tale at 8 p.m. Friday, Monday and Tuesday and 3 p.m. Sunday in the Lyric Theatre of Murchison Performing Arts Center, Interstate 35 at North Texas Boulevard in Denton. Tickets are $6. Call 940-369-7802 or visit music.unt.edu/tickets.
Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, 8 p.m.; Sun., Aug. 6, 3 p.m. Starts: Aug. 4. Continues through Aug. 9
