Kiddie Kitty

Life was hard for the Egyptian temple cat. Worshiped as a god, he longed for freedom. We know how he feels. We Observer writers are inundated with fruit baskets, flower arrangements and free liquor flowing upon us from the cheerful givers of the metroplex. It's a hard-knock life. We envy the temple cat, who ran away in the aptly named book, The Temple Cat, by Andrew Clements. There will be a reading of the kids' favorite plus crafty activities at the Kimbell Art Museum, 3333 Camp Bowie Blvd. in Fort Worth, from 10:30 p.m. to 11:15 a.m. Tuesday. It's free, but space is limited. Register at 817-332-8451.
Tue., Oct. 3, 10:30-11:15 a.m.
