Prime Time

Right now, there's an episode of Law and Order on TV. And here's how it goes: If it's the beginning of the show (DUN DUN), someone just found a body. A cop arrives to deliver some witty banter and point his blacklight at walls. Then, a suspect is booked (who obviously can't be the culprit—we're only 20 minutes into the show). Next, we get a commercial break, and at some later point Angela Lansbury materializes to tell you whodunnit. Creepy, right? It's like I'm psychic. I'm a TV mystery future-predictor. When you're bored with Law and Order: Same Plot Every Week, go see The Real Inspector Hound at the Dallas Hub Theater (2809 Canton St.). It's a refreshing spin on murder mysteries, written by Tom Stoppard, who also brought you Shakespeare in Love and Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead. And, it's much better than watching Vincent D'Onofrio try to be John Malkovich. Show begins at 8:15 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays through October 28. Tickets are $10 to $20. Call 214-749-7010, ext. 2 or visit dallashubtheater.org.
Fridays, Saturdays, 8:15 p.m. Starts: Oct. 7. Continues through Oct. 28
