Shooting Stars

Perhaps stung that a certain other DFW sports postseason meltdown grabbed all the headlines, the Dallas Stars have been playing like men possessed early in this young hockey season. Oh, sure, they aren't the Stars of old—an aging Mike Modano has been stripped of his captain's title, for instance—but let us not forget this is the last pro team to bring any sort of trophy home to our fair city, and as they take on the Blues, let us take great joy in Eric Lindros slamming the crap out of someone. See it live at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at American Airlines Center. Tickets are $12 to $140. Call 214-GO-STARS or visit dallasstars.com.
