Dancing Dreads

We first met Savion Glover when he was just a wee onetap, tap, tappin' his way onto Broadway (as well as screens big and small) and into our hearts. He was only 10 when he first appeared on the scene, but now he's 33with stage, film, directing and dance credits out the wazoo and a Tony Award to boot. He's even learned how to bust a move to the seemingly stiff sounds of a string ensemble: Catch his 50-city touring performance, Classical Savion (presented by TITAS), at SMU's McFarlin Auditorium at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Tickets are $14 to $59 and can be purchased at the TITAS Box Office, 3101 N. Fitzhugh, Suite 301, by calling 214-528-5576 or online at titas.org. Youth tickets (K through 12) are $5 and are available through the McFarlin Auditorium Box Office on the day of the show.
Fri., Nov. 3, 8 p.m.; Sat., Nov. 4, 8 p.m.
