Team Martha

Who said the homemaking maven's status plummeted after her tangle with the law? The press release for Martha Stewart's November 11 book signing may as well be advertising an impromptu show by a trendy band. Space is limited to the first 300 customers, it says, and pre-purchasing tickets doesn't guarantee a signed copy of Stewart's new book, Homekeeping Handbook. The new volume, apparently 15 years in the making, offers information on how to clean and maintain every aspect of your home, including a glossary on how to clean and store household materials from alabaster to zinc. If you must have a signed copy to add to your Martha Stewart Living collection, get tickets when you buy the $45 book. But be warned, Martha fans, tickets went on sale November 1, so there may be only a few left. The signing is 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Sur La Table, 4527 Travis St. And while you listen to Martha's wisdom on home beautification (hopefully no advice on trading stocks or avoiding jail time), you can pick up some dishes, linens or glasses. Call 214-219-4404.
Sat., Nov. 11, 11:30 a.m.
