Daytime Drama

Find out if this play is just right

The best days in elementary school were the days we got to skip out of class. Once, my mom wrote me a fake doctor's note so I could get out of school to see a museum exhibit. I can't remember whether or not the exhibit was cool, but my mom was cool for, like, ever after that. So, if it's been a while since youve used a fake doctor's note to steal your kid from school, now is the time to do it. Goldilocks and the Three Bears, presented by Rover Dramawerks, is playing at 10:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Cox Building Playhouse, 1517 Avenue H in Plano. Don't have a kid to sneak out of school? Buy one. Kids are cheap—they're the latest accessory (tiny dogs and backup-dancer husbands are so last year), and they're cool to have around so you can go to events such as these without looking creepy. If you can't get yourself a kid by Thursday, Goldilocks and the Three Bears is also playing at 10:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Tickets cost $10 (Unless your kid is small enough to sit in your lap. Then, tickets are only $3). Call 972-849-0358 or visit roverdramawerks.com.
Thu., Nov. 16, 10:30 a.m. & 2 p.m.; Nov. 17-18, 10:30 a.m. & 7:30 p.m.
