Take a turkey trot in Richardson

This is the Gobble Hobble 5K and Family Fun Run's inaugural year, and it's being hyped as Richardson's new Thanksgiving tradition, complete with a kick-ass "Kids Zone." Personally, we think restricting adults from awesome stuff such as rock-climbing walls and inflatable obstacle courses by designating it a "Kids Zone" should be a criminal offense. It's clearly ageist discrimination. Safety hazard, shmafety shmazard. To actually participate in the run, you will need to have registered by, uh, this past Tuesday. But you can still hobble vicariously as a supportive bystander while your kids have all the fun at the Richardson Gobble Hobble 5K and Family Fun Run, 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Galatyn Park, 2351 Performance Drive.
