Jones is paying the self-proclaimed "most accurate kicker in the history of football" $2.4 million to make field goals. But against the Colts, Vandershank missed two more wide right, confirming his severe case of the yips.

"I don't know, I don't have Dr. Livingston's Frozen Elixir for him," says Parcells of Vanderjagt, who was booed even after he made the extra point. "I'm not saying I'm losing my patience. It needs to get better. But the guy deserves the benefit of the doubt."

If all this sounds eerily familiar, rewind a year. The Cowboys were seemingly headed toward 8-3 late on Thanksgiving when Billy Cundiff pushed a 34-yard field goal. They lost to the Denver Broncos, laid an egg the following week at the Giants and ultimately missed the playoffs.

After all their incarnations this year, it's set up for Dallas again. Only the Chicago Bears have more wins in the NFC. The Cowboys will likely be favored in five of their last six games, four of which are at home. And, after Thursday's date with the lowly Buccaneers, they get 10 days to prepare for a December 3 showdown at the Giants in what could be an NFC East Championship Game.

Says Parcells, "If we get this game Thursday, then we got a little bit of time to breathe."

Uh-oh, Anna Nicole, prepare to suffocate.
