I'll have to admit, your Dallas Stars are doing pretty well this season. Better than my team, but that's beside the point. With the 55th NHL All-Star Game rolling through town at 8 p.m. Wednesday, we're going to share a team when the Western Conference takes on the Eastern Conference and my man Joe Sakic comes to town. Tickets for the game itself are hard to come by for the general public, but there's nothing to keep you from joining the All-Star week fun, starting with the All-Star Saturday celebration. Bringing fire and ice together, there will be a street hockey game featuring a local Dallas Fire Department team vs. the Leary Firefighters celebrity team, with team captain Denis Leary (yes, that one). There will also be a celebrity cook-off, a chili contest, fun hockey activities, live music and a raffle (with two tickets to the game up for grabs), all benefiting the Leary Firefighters foundation. The All-Star Saturday celebration takes place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the American Airlines Center North Parking Lot, 2500 Victory Plaza. Admission is free.
