Space is the Place

A Bachelor of Fine Arts may not ensure the same amount of financial security or job opportunities as an MBA or some fancy law degree. Plus, going for a Masters in Humanities, Aesthetic Studies instead of just an BFA does allow you to get full course credit for suspending 100 pieces of sculpture that look like intergalactic eggplants all over a commons building. Melinda McVay's Space Invaders runs through February 16 in the Mezzanine Gallery of the Visual Arts Building at the University of Texas at Dallas, 800 W. Campbell Road in Richardson. Just stop by between 9 a.m. and 10 p.m. Mondays through Fridays or 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Saturdays. Admission is free. Call 972-883-2982.
