Seems a bit like the title of an upcoming Texas-set dramedy at the Richardson Theatre Centre is a little outdated: Daddy's Dyin', Whos Got the Will? Do people even pay attention to wills these days? Legal documents are, like, so 1983 or something. But now that everybody's suing everybody for everybody's stuff (or for looking at them the wrong way), the best thing you could have if Daddy's dyin' are the keys to Daddy's safe. First one to weed through Daddy's chaw, Daddy's porn, Daddy's little black book and Daddy's big brown bottle of Evan Williams gets the good stuff: Daddy's commemorative 1988 NASCAR porcelain plates and matching stemwarea killer investment at $50 in '88. But hey, if you guys want to wait around for the will, go ahead. Just don't come around here looking for that Earnhardt carafe. Daddys Dyin' runs Friday through March 3 at RTC, 718 Canyon Creek Square in Richardson. Shows are at 8 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $12 to $15.
