There won't be two turntables and a microphone, but the 120th anniversary re-enactment of the 1887 shootout between Short and former Fort Worth lawman Jim Courtright outside the White Elephant Saloon will feature singer Bodie Powell performing cowboy ballads beginning at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. The gunplay, with actors from the troupe The Gunfighters, starts at 7 p.m., and Powell plays again from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. The White Elephant is located at 106 E.
