There are tons of stories about Jesus in the Bible. Yeah, I read it. What? But one thing Matty, Mark, Luke and John left out was how at the end of every school year Jesus' dad and his virginal mom drove him to Jesus Camp. There was Jesus horse riding, Jesus canoeing, Jesus rock climbing, Jesus snorkeling and tons of other cool stuff. He made Jesus friendship bracelets and Jesus lanyards, and at the dance at the end of camp, he totally kissed his Jesus CIT. I hope this new movie, Jesus Camp, will shed some light on the missing Jesus Camp chapters of JC's life. But, reviewers say it's just a documentary that follows some kids as they "become dedicated soldiers in God's army" and attempt to "take back America for Christ." Whatever. If that means Jesus gets to come back and turn some more water into delicious drunky-drunk grape juice, I'm in. At 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Friday (or additional screenings Saturday and Sunday), go see Jesus Camp at The Modern Museum of Art, 3200 Darnell St. in Fort Worth. Tickets are $7.50 for non-members and $5.50 for members. Call 817-738-9215 or visit themodern.org.
Fri., Feb. 16, 6 & 8 p.m.; Sat., Feb. 17, 5 p.m.; Sun., Feb. 18, 2 & 4 p.m.
