Saturday holds one big, slobbering, green option in one hand, and in the other, a later, more culturally sober option in the Fiesta Latinoamericana! Of course the trek to Plano may be disheartening and drive you into the nearest pub for a Guinness, but the reward of poetry from Latin legends (Federico García Lorca, Pablo Neruda, Nezahualcoyotl and others), dance (Daniel de Córdoba Bailes Españoles and Gustavo Tolosa, Trío Folkórico Argentino and Danzas Folklóricas de Argentina, Cantares and Voces y Danzas de Chile and others) and music should be enough to sway you from your parade induced-haze and toward something with a little meaning, a little resonance...you know, other than that post-binge ringing in your ears you’d be hearing for a few hours if you stayed on Greenville. DFW International continues its month-long International DFW Month 2007 celebration with another slam-dunk in this Latin American festival. Let's just hope food coloring and hangovers don’t keep folks from attending an enlightening event 7 p.m. Saturday at St. Andrew United Methodist Church, 5801 W. Plano Parkway.
