Since its inception, the people behind Art Prostitute have shed light on cutting-edge, up-and-coming artists. Every issue of Art Prostitute magazine and its corresponding gallery show manages to cover different media types, and their gallery openings are arguably the best in the city. The latest exhibition, Melodic Inversions and Contrary Motions, will feature works by Ron English, Steven Hopwood-Lewis and Stephen Tompkins. Featured in the movie Super Size Me, Ron English has appeared on television in the U.S., Europe, Canada and Japan, was the subject of an award-winning documentary and is considered one of the seminal artists in the culture jamming movement. Steven Hopwood-Lewis has mastered the medium of ink and paper; Stephen Tompkins has studied the art of those diagnosed with mental illnesses and has channeled that into his own art.
