Think of the Fuzz

When my father was a little boy, he liked to eat. A lot. His baby sitter had a peach orchard in her backyard, and he once ate two dozen peaches in one sitting. This decadent feast was inevitably followed by a nasty stomachache, and to this day, if my dad even so much as sees a peach out of the corner of his eye, he turns green and has to lie down. So I can only imagine the nightmares he would have if he were to attend the Dallas Children's Theater's production of James and the Giant Peach, which opens Friday. But for healthy, normal kids, sure, it should be fun. Shows are 7:30 p.m. Fridays, 1:30 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays and 4:30 p.m. Sundays through April 22 at DCT's Rosewood Center for Family Arts. Call 214-740-0051 or visit dct.org.
Fridays, 7:30 p.m.; Saturdays, 1:30 p.m.; Sundays, 1:30 & 4:30 p.m. Starts: March 16. Continues through April 22
