What—did you think we were just gonna ignore the Observer's never-ending quest to keep the Toadies together, forever, please for the love of god? Damn, you'd think the Toadies were our Mommy and Daddy, and that we'd just die if they stayed apart, and we'd have to go to some child psychologist, who would hand us some crayons and say in a soothing voice, "Why don't you draw a picture of Mommy and Daddy?" And then we'd take that burnt sienna motherfucker in our sticky little fist, and we'd draw the rockin'est band the DFW area has produced in 20 years, a group so unique and viscerally scary—the way rock 'n' roll should be—that no one's ever even tried to duplicate them. Guitars buzzing like a swarm of belligerent, drunken bees, Todd Lewis' razor-blade voice slicing through the singular bass lines. Hundreds of drunken, happy fans sweatin' to what is now, sadly, the oldies. That's what we'd draw, and then the child psychologist would prescribe us huge amounts of Ritalin. Which we would take all at once and then listen to Rubberneck really loud.

i thought the concert rocked! the toadies were awesome. vaden sounded fantastic. not to mention, they played every song my friends and i wanted them too. couldn't have been better. oh wait, if the vendors hadn't kept selling more alcohol to people who were clearly already gone, we might have had a better time. i had to keep one eye on the band and one eye on the fists that were flying. maybe we need to double security next time. those guys were working their asses off saving people from the angry mob, or the angry heat. i was anxious the entire time, worrying about my loved one's that were out in the audience like me. i know that this is just part of rock and roll, but it got a little out of hand. i'd like to not fear for my life next time. and i'm six-one, think of my friend who is only four-eleven. it was your show, so it's your responsibility to make sure the paying customers are safe. instead of having some unknown dj (who was the mc) point out that there are frozen bacardi drinks to one side, and mixed bacardi drinks on the other...maybe he could say something to the extent of "people behave, or we'll cancel the show". instead, he talked about how drunk he was and asked if everyone else was just as drunk. i guess i'm just not a drunken idiot enough to enjoy a show thrown by y'all. but thanks for the great rock!
