Egg Salad Sunday

Easter, pups and a score of notes mix up quite nicely

Easter's here, and kids everywhere are peeing their pants thinking about all the Peeps they're gonna eat. But in Dallas, Easter is about more than just candy—it means the arrival of the annual Easter in the Park event, where we get to enjoy a free Dallas Symphony Orchestra concert and a canine costume contest. To enter your dog in the infamous Pooch Parade, the fee is $10 per dog per category, and registration begins at Lee Park (Turtle Creek Boulevard and Lemmon Avenue) at 11 a.m. Sunday. Otherwise, just stroll over to the park Sunday afternoon—the dogs strut their stuff at 1 p.m., and the concert starts at 3 p.m. This spring the DSO is also presenting a whole series of free concerts, so visit dallassymphony.com for a list of dates and locations. For more information about Easter in the Park, call 972-380-7390 or visit turtlecreekassociation.org.
Sun., April 8, 1 p.m.
