Even though I've never watched the Dallas Desperados and don't know a thing about arena football, here are some things I think they do better than the Dallas Mavericks: Defend Stephen Jackson, play perimeter defense, drive to the basket and show up. With the Mavericks having ignobly imploded and the Texas Rangers remaining the Texas Rangers, why not give the Desperados a chance? After all, you've been out riding fences for so long now. The Dallas Desperados play the Chicago Rush at the suddenly vacant American Airlines Center at 7:30 p.m. Monday. Tickets are $12 to $88. Visit ticketmaster.com.
