Westward Focus

I graduated from Richland College a couple of years ago, and I swear it totally changed my life. I made great friends, had amazing instructors (one even became my mentor), got published and, ultimately, the Robert Wilonsky spoke to my class. Can it get much better? It didn't hurt that I could cover tuition and books with one paycheck. Every so often I try to head out there to reminisce. OK, not really, but I might visit soon for the Humanities Division's latest exhibit, Richland College Photography Workshop in New Mexico. The works by students who went all Georgia O'Keeffe have me seething with jealousy yet still appeal to my school pride. Plus, I expect free niblets at the opening. The exhibit runs through July 13 with the opening reception at 7 p.m. Friday on campus in the Brazos Gallery, 12800 Abrams Road. For more information, call 972-238-6339 or visit rlc.dcccd.edu.
Mondays-Fridays, 12-6 p.m. Starts: June 15. Continues through July 13
