Do Not Taunt SPORM!

SPORM! sounds like one of those weird substances kids were supposed to play with in the '90s. Remember Floam, that beaded foam stuff? And Gak, that gooey green junk that made farting noises when you squeezed it? And Goooze, Smatter, Skweeez and Sqand? But alas, no, SPORM! isn't a Nickeolodeon compound; it's the newest exhibit on display through August 9 at Tarrant County College Southeast's Art Corridor II, 2100 Southeast Parkway in Arlington. The exhibition showcases mixed-media installations by Jason Reynaga and sculptural forms by Angel Fernandez, and the name SPORM! is a cross between the words "space" and "form," which are said to battle it out in the artists' works. The gallery is open 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, and the artists' reception is 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday. For more information, call 817-515-3406 or visit tccd.edu.
