If They Mated

The Museum of Science and Nature shows off

Just in case you missed it, the Science Place is no more. Don't worry, though, it hasn't gone the way of the dinosaur—it really just merged with its neighbor (The Dallas Museum of Natural History) to form the awesomeness that is the Museum of Nature and Science. After a lot of hard work and tons of renovations, MNS is proud to present Discovery Fest this weekend. They've invited everyone in town to discover what the new museum has in store, including new exhibits, programs and activities in addition to the old favorites like Tex, the museum's famous T. rex (who will have a new home in Texas Dinosaurs: Life and Death in the Big Bend with a fossil dig). The festival will feature indoor and outdoor hands-on activities, so bring the family out from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday for some exploration and fun at the Museum of Nature and Science, 3535 Grand Ave. in Fair Park. Admission is free for members and $8.50 for non-members. Call 214-428-5555 or visit natureandscience.org.
Sat., July 21, 11 a.m.-4 p.m.; Sun., July 22, 12-4 p.m.
