Grab your plastic sheets, your rain slickers and maybe an umbrella because things are going to get messy at the House of Blues on Saturday. That's right, Gallagher is coming to town with his handy-dandy Sledge-O-Matic to smash some stuff. There must be something very cathartic about squashing fruit and other assorted items with a large wooden mallet because Gallagher's been doing it for years now and it never fails to make people laugh. There's something very pure, juvenile and wonderful about flattening a big ripe watermelon and seeing it spray several rows into a screaming audience. But Gallagher isn't just a one-trick pony. He's also a talented comedian who hasn't lost his ability to see the weirdness in the world...while we look at the weirdness that is Gallagher. If you've never seen the guy picture Art Garfunkel's fro yanked down until there was really long hair in the back but no hair up front.
