Kottonmouth Kings, Tech N9ne

Wednesday, August 22, at House of Blues

Backward baseball cap-wearing white boys of Dallas, rejoice! Kottonmouth Kings and Tech N9ne have teamed up for a summer tour, and they are coming to town and bringing their friends. Fans of Kottonmouth Kings will have the opportunity to hear live versions of some of their favorite hip-hop tracks about smoking weed and living in the suburbs, including hits such as "Where's the Weed At?," "Gone Git High" and "The Munchies." Tech N9ne enthusiasts will have a chance to hear the Kansas City rapper's famously rapid rhymes and get an up-close look at the outrageous hair and clown makeup that have become his calling card. Sub Noize Souljaz are providing support, and an introductory set will also be performed by Blaze Ya Dead Homie, a Detroit rapper on Insane Clown Posse's Psychopathic Records. All in all, the Strange Noize Tour should be a lot of fun. Because the fan bases of all the acts on the tour overlap, attendees will most likely enjoy all the performers on the bill, from the first act to the last—which is not to say some jerks in the crowd still won't be chucking water bottles onstage.
