"Every missed encounter is essentially a twist of fate, don't you think?" the blind man asks. "Every chance encounter has the complexity of the universe. Just think of the infinite sum of insignificant details that could have conspired against this encounter between you and me." Given the weight of their talk, it's unlikely that they then bid each other adieu and go on about their lives as if nothing ever happened.
