At 8:30 p.m. Saturday, get your Hamiltons together and come see Mandy Patinkin: In Concert (featuring Paul Ford tickling the ivories) for a fund-raising gala to support Casa Mañana's arts education programs at (you guessed it) Casa Mañana Theatre, 3101 W. Lancaster Ave. in Fort Worth. Mandy will be singing, and according to The New Yorker, he'll be "showstopping" too. I hope that doesn't mean Danity Kane will be there. Tickets to the event are $75. VIP packages are available if you're rich and have $350 you're tired of having; and table packages are available for those of you who 1) think arts education is super important and 2) have access to $3,000; $5,000; $10,000 or $25,000 to give in support of arts education because you're swell and because, when you think about it, that pool of gold coins you swim in every day is getting annoyingly deep. Depending on your donation level, you'll get access to all kinds of goodies on top of the already awesome fact that you'll be hearing Inigo Montoya sing the standards. There'll be pre-show cocktails, dinner by The Ashton Depot, and live and silent auctions, as well. So bring your buckets o' cash and help out the kids. Call 817-321-5005 or go to casamanana.org.
